The project’s objective is to contribute to clean cooking to ensure the sustainable livelihood of people in Mali. While doing so, different methodological approaches such as sustainable circular economy, efficient use of water and agricultural productivity will be applied to the case study area. Use of mostly low-tech solutions that can be easily adapted by the local community will be preferred.

Overall research activities are summarized as: a biogas plant, improved cook stoves, a briquetting machine, a solar water pump and a solar electric cooking system to be installed, operated, tested and modified for optimal operation considering local surrounding conditions.
